Grilling Your Ham

Place country ham slice on a hot grill.
Grill on each side for about 45 minutes.
Ready to eat.


Fried Country Ham

Place slice of ham in a hot skillet (300).
Brown quickly on one side, turn and brown the other side.
Repeat several times

DO NOT OVERCOOK.. it causes the ham to be tough and dry.


Country Ham Cheese Ball

8 oz. softened cream cheese
1/4 tsp. horseradish
1/4 cup parmesean cheese
1 cup chopped green olives
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Dash of lemon juice
1/3 cup ground Finchville country ham
Dash Worcestershire Sauce

Mix all ingredients together, Shape in ball or log.
Roll in chopped pecans, walnuts or almond slivers.
Serve with crackers after ball has softened to room temperature.
Good when served with fruit


Red Eye Gravy

After frying your ham, pour off most of the grease.
Add a small amount of water and let simmer for a few minuts
Pour gravy over ham and serve hot.


Ham Balls

2 cups ground Finchville country ham
1 cup milk
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup sausage

Mix ingredients well and form into small balls (about 1 inch).
Put in a shallow pan and pour sauce over them.
Cover with foil for first 45 minutes and bake in slow oven  (300 degrees) until sausage is done.
Remove foil for the last 15 minutes of cooking time. Turn balls once during cooking time to absorb sauce better.
The Balls will be browned when done.

Ham Ball Sauce

3/4 brown sugar
1/2 tbsp. salad mustard
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup wayer
Combine ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

Country Ham Salad

2 cups ground Finchville country ham
1/2 cup pickle relish
3 eggs, boiled and chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup celery, finely chopped

Mix all ingredients togehter and refrigerate.
Serve on bread or with crackers

Country Ham Canapes

2 cups finely ground Finchville country ham
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 cup finely grated sharp cheddar cheese
24 thin slices of fresh bread

Combine ham and cheese
Add just enough mayonnaise to bind together.
Using a biscuit cutter, cut a circle from each bread slice.
Flatten with hand
Press bread circles into buttered miniature muffin tins to form cuos.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
Fill toast cups with hanm and cheese mixture

Bake again at 325 degrees for 15 minutes, until cheese is melted.
Serve hot
